Open Access Policy and APC

GeoAI Insights, published by Science Transactions, is a fully open access journal committed to providing free and immediate access to scholarly research. All published articles are freely available online without subscription or access barriers.

1. Open Access

All articles are made freely accessible, downloadable, and shareable worldwide immediately upon publication. No embargo period is applied.

2. Copyright and License

Authors retain copyright of their published work. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). This license permits others to copy, distribute, adapt, and reuse the work, including for commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

3. Author Rights and Self-Archiving

Authors may share and deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and scholarly platforms without seeking additional permission from the journal, subject to the CC BY 4.0 license.

4. Article Processing Charges

GeoAI Insights, published by Science Transactions, follows a Gold Open Access model. To support peer review, editorial processing, production, and long-term preservation, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may apply to accepted manuscripts.

• No submission or peer-review fee is charged, and manuscripts that are not accepted incur no APC.
• APC is only charged after peer review and official acceptance and are communicated transparently to authors.
• APC waivers or discounts may be available based on the journal’s current waiver policy. Authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries are eligible for automatic waivers or deep discounts. Please request a waiver at the time of submission.
• Editorial items such as corrections, retractions, and similar notices may be published without an APC, at the journal’s discretion.

We recognize the importance of providing an inclusive platform for researchers to share their work without any financial burden. In order to provide free access to readers and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, we have carefully considered our pricing structure, and we are pleased to offer an affordable APC of 20000 INR (for Domestic) and 265 USD (for Foreign) for all accepted manuscripts plus taxes. By submitting a manuscript, the authors automatically commit to accepting APCs on the final manuscript and pay the APCs if the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Payment will be requested for accepted papers during the production stage. Kindly note that APCs are “Non-refundable”. No refund request will be entertained. No refund will be made when articles are retracted due to author error or any misconduct.

5. Long-Term Access and Preservation

Science Transactions is committed to maintaining the long-term availability, accessibility, and preservation of articles published in GeoAI Insights.

6. Citation and Attribution

Authors and users are encouraged to cite published articles appropriately. Reuse of any article or substantial portion thereof must retain proper author attribution, article title, journal name, DOI, and source information, as applicable under CC BY 4.0.
